We arrived in Bardstown, Kentucky on May 13, 2015 after an easy three hour drive from Nashville, Tennessee. My enjoyment being in the South continues…the more southern states we visit the more I like this part of the country. Who’d have thought? The people are gracious, the scenery is beautiful, there seems to be plenty of water (nothing’s dry and brown like much of California) and the pace is much slower than back home in southern California. People wave and say “hello” to strangers. It’s nice.
Bardstown is a perfect example. It’s a quaint little historical town with lots of museums, shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants and things to see and do. What else is around here? Abraham Lincoln’s birthplace, Jack Daniel’s distillery, Louisville and the baseball bat factory, GM plant and National Corvette Museum, Churchill Downs Racetrack and, well let’s just say there is plenty to see and do!
