Lake George

MAY 2015. Lake George is a neat town in Upstate New York, at the base of the Adirondack Mountains. The lake is nicknamed the “Queen of American Lakes.” The lake itself, as well as the towns surrounding it, reminded us of North Shore Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada border. But I honestly think the towns and shops and restaurants at Lake George are even more interesting and picturesque! And that’s saying a lot! We spent many summer vacations with the kids at Lake Tahoe and loved each one of them. See my post dated May 31, 2015. Unfortunately, our stay at the Andirondacks was cut short because of rain and the need for us to move along. We have campsite reservations “down the road” because they’re needed in New England during the summer. Oh, well. It’s not as if we can’t return if we wish. That’s the beauty of this RV lifestyle and our motto, “There’s just no rush.” We never dreamed we’d be on the road so long in order to see America, but it’s OK. As long as we’re “up to it” we can pursue our Adventure as long as we wish.
