August 2015. Contoocook is a tiny village in the southern part of New Hampshire. We stayed during the end of August, 2015 at Sandy Beach Campground. It was more a camping experience that we have at most RV parks. We were literally in the woods and our site was near a little lake, with a “sandy beach.”
