Who ever heard of Vale, Oregon? We sure hadn’t, until now. We’ve spent months and months in the State of Oregon but we’d never even heard of Vale. Located near the easternmost border of the state with Idaho, it is well worth stopping for a visit. We spent a few days in this real wild west town in July of 2014 and loved every minute of our stay. We went to a rodeo, walked around town looking at the original art murals painted on the buildings and ate some good barbecue food.
