October 2014. White Sands National Monument near Alamorgodo, New Mexico was one of our last stops before heading to Texas for the winter. The area is serene, stark, vast and unique. The nearby Elks Club was home for a few days…one of the nicest Elks RV Parks we’ve found so far.
